Tangled

Disneys new movie Tangled!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see this movie!!!!!!!!!

At first I was kind of upset, the trailers were not incredible and it didn't look like a very good take of the loved fairytale Rapunzel. I am beginning to look more into the movie and it does not look like Rapunzel yet but it does look like a very cute movie.

The plot is a very basic rapunzel story, after being trapped for her entire life Rapunzel wants to be free. Along comes an unsuspecting young man and rapunzel and this man go on a series of adventures.

However, there are a few twists to the classic fairytale.

The prince is a theif who has actually stolen rapunzel's crown. The theif frees rapunzel and takes her to many crazy and unforgetable places.

I think it will be a movie definately worth seeing.

Sunny days and life.

Hello everyone.
It has been forever since I last wrote a post. I promised myself I would write more often but that went down the drain rather quickly.

Yesterday I had my windows open and was laying in the middle of the floor, doing nothing. It was soooo nice and peaceful. 80 degree weather and a nice spring breeze, it was wonderful. The curtains playing in the breeze, the sun dancing across the floor,

"And, listener, it is all very right, isn't it?"

I think so, and I hope it continues to be. After an extremely rough week of family and friends, it is a very welcome feeling to have the windows wide open. To feel the sunplay across your back and have no care whatsoever in the world. I wish everyone had the privalege to know that lovely, lonely feeling. That feeling where you don't talk or think about anyone. Its just between you and God. No thoughts, no words. Just his voice whispering silently to you, almost inaudibly.

What could be more right?

Moods of my day

Just an interesting piece of information. I am a huge fan of Disney movies.

I love Little Mermaid, Mulan, and Hercules.

The only problem........... I haven't been able to find Hercules anywhere to rent and I am in the mood to watch it.

The other day I did get to see The Little Mermaid (which I haven't seen in years).I fell in love with it all over again! I wholeheartedly miss being able to watch Disney Princess movies every day. Oh, well.

Mulan I do need to see again. I miss Mushu (I think I spelled that correctly) and Lucky Cricket.

I'll have to turn it on soon. :)

My Dear Kate Portwood! Farewell!

Camp Kate is a Girl Scout camp that has been operational since 1912 and has just celebrated its retirement ceremony.

Farewell Camp Kate Portwood

My dear Kate Portwood,
Tall and strong.
My dear Kate Portwood,
greeted with a goodbye throng.

Kate Portwood
Your influence
On people's lives
Has been,

The best thing
That has ever
happened
To them.

Kate Portwood,
The tears
That come to soon,

Shall all be forgotten
By morrow's noon.

And all shall leave
And know,
Never again,

A night
Shall be spent,
In your little
Glen.

Camp Kate was the best camp of all time with activities like high ropes course and rappelling. It will be sorely missed.

Nature

I was thinking today about how lovely nature is.

Nature is absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of nature, I haven't done this yet but I'm giving it a try, I am going to post some nature pics that I've taken. I will probably post some more once I get them up on my computer. ( By the way I don't do that very often so please do not expect pics during the next few posts. :) )

This one I took because I just thought the angle was cool.
This one I took at a park. I was playing with the closeness of one object and the distance between the next.
Once again playing around with different views.
This one I am still trying to figure out how in the world I did this one. The flower would have to have been facing just the right way to be able to get the sky in there as well.
Just a few insights into some of my amateur photography. Hope you like it!

One of my many doodles

Totally random but I have a lot of time on my hands.

The character that stands out in my mind after reading that first sentence is Amelia Bedilia. The Amelia Bedilia books are one of my favorite series of picture books. Amelia Bedilia takes everything literally and would probably strap on a watch if I said I had a lot of time on my hands.

Speaking of time, a really depressing thing for me has become my lack of Doctor Who. Our cable has been canceled by my dearest mother, out of her concern of us watching to much TV. Getting on YouTube and not finding my fave episodes (which were all recorded but then erased because the cable was taken off) is starting to drive me crazy. I wholeheartedly miss getting to record the shows and watch them later. I watch way to much TV. ( Maybe my mom was right?)

At any rate the house has been very peaceful lately. And I do give part of that credit to the fact that we don't watch as much TV as we used to. It's not on every second of every day and has become less and less the electronic babysitter. The house is less noisy as well. I love TV but it really was starting to rule my schedule a bit.

Speaking of schedule I probably have one of the busiest schedules of all time. There's one day where I'm home all day. Usually I'm up for about 14-16 hours of day. :( Yes, it is a very depressing fact. I have completely forgotten what it's like to get a good night's sleep. ugh. that's all for today as I am currently running out of time.
